Following a series of successful pop ups in the capital, chef pals Gerald Mirey and Ko Ito have opened this permanent London site. Based in Fulham, the restaurant combines French flair with Japanese influences, starting out with a drinks list punctuated by both Gallic wines and a collection of Japanese saké. The menu follows suit; starters see the likes of steak tartare and spiced potted shrimp, while mains include Hokkaido-style pheasant with root veg and blueberry sauce; braised beef cheek in red wine with miso and wasabi mash; and polenta cake with shimeji mushroom and mizuna. Come the end of the meal, desserts stick to the theme, with classic options such as Mont Blanc with chestnut and galette, and the more unconventional yuzu crème brûlée and matcha ice cream.
