Found in Reading, The Corn Stores is a contemporary British restaurant which serves a menu that is dictated by seasonal produce. The restaurant is housed inside a gorgeous Grade-II listed building which spreads itself across three floors and the space doubles up as an event venue. Alongside its standard restaurant and bar, The Corn Stores also offers private dining opportunities, boasting no less than three dedicated spaces that are available for hire.
On the ground floor, you can find the spacious bar area, which can welcome up to 50 seated guests or 70 standing. The stylish space features tiled flooring and cosy furnishings upholstered in colourful patterned fabrics, while the marble-topped bar is well stocked with brewery fresh larger and an impressive range of spirits. This space is ideal for standing receptions and casual drinks, with a cocktail and canape menu available for groups of 10 or more.
The Corn Store’s second private dining space is its first-floor formal dining room, which can accommodate up to 65 seated guests across the restaurant and mezzanine level, or up to 100 standing. The rustic-chic space boasts wooden beams which run across the ceiling, eye-catching artworks lining the walls and cosy tub chairs in shades of dusty pink and ocean blue. The Corn Store’s head chef Liam Sweeney is able to design bespoke menus for private parties, which champion seasonal, local produce and can be tailored for breakfast, lunch, dinner or canape receptions.
The third and final private dining space at the venue is the top floor lounge, which is usually members-only but is available to hire privately. It is a stylish and comfortable space, featuring high ceilings and seating wrapped in various shades of blue. The room also boasts its own bar, which showcases top-quality spirits and serves an ever-evolving cocktail menu.
