Putting the focus firmly on British rare-breed steaks, tacos, and live fire cooking, Tember City offers a sleek private dining experience throughout the week. Set within easy walking distance of Bank, Liverpool Street, and Moorgate stations, it’s an ideal spot for group dining in the City of London, complete with attractive interiors, new and old world wines, and a menu of expertly grilled steaks all butchered in-house.
The dining room at Temper City comes with various options for semi-private, group, and private dining. Groups of up to 30 can be accommodated in the main ground floor restaurant, with smaller tables available too. Alternatively, for large private dining bookings, guests can hire out the mezzanine in its entirety for up to 60 guests on two long tables, surrounded by the restaurant's wine stores.
Group dining menus at Temper take shape in a feasting format. Choose between the Feast Menu or the Fancy Feast Menu, both of which showcase the very best the main menu has to offer. The Feast Menu, for instance, kicks off with a welcome Margarita, before continuing with a range of tacos like a cheeseburger number with smoked raclette and green chilli, burnt ends with beef fat mayonnaise and pickled onion, and the cochinita pibil stuffed with smoked pork shoulder and crunchy cabbage.
As for the mains, you might see the likes of smoked rare-breed brisket with pickled red onion, beef rump steak with heritage tomato salsa, and wood-roasted fish with gochujang butter and fennel and mint salad. Sides, meanwhile, include beef-fat potatoes with garlic raclette, house salad, and flat breads, while a rich peanut and chocolate tart rounds things off nicely.
As for the drinks, which are naturally a central component of any group dinner in the city, you’ll find a great selection of wines, including some brilliant reds that pair beautifully with steak, alongside house cocktails, beer, and cider.
