Guests can choose between exclusive hire of the restaurant for up to 46 diners or a more intimate private dining experience in the rear dining space, which accommodates up to 12 guests. The interiors are contemporary and understated, featuring light wood panelling, soft sage green tones, comfortable leather seating and carefully curated artwork. A fireplace adorned with candles creates a welcoming focal point, adding warmth and character to the dining room.
So-lo is the first solo venture from Michelin-starred chef Tim Allen, whose menus showcase the finest British ingredients through creative techniques and global influences. Private dining experiences can be tailored around the restaurant’s lunch, Sunday lunch or evening tasting menus, allowing hosts to create an occasion that suits their guests.
Dishes may include Fjord sea trout with cucumber and radishes, Peterhead cod with brown shrimps and broccoli, suckling pig with salt-baked celeriac and fallow deer with Jerusalem artichoke. Desserts are equally considered, with options such as Pink Lady apple with caramelised puff pastry or clementine baked cheesecake with gingerbread and clementine ice cream.
For a more immersive dining experience, guests can opt for the evening tasting menu, which highlights seasonal produce through a series of carefully crafted courses. Dishes may feature new season morels with crispy chicken and truffle snow, Herdwick hogget with truffle cheese and Mont Blanc chocolate mousse.
