We had an absolutely exceptional evening at Restaurant Sat Bains. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience felt thoughtful, warm and genuinely special. We were fortunate enough to sit at the chef’s table, which meant we could watch the kitchen at work throughout the evening – an incredible insight into the precision and calm intensity behind every dish. The tasting menu was outstanding. Each course was beautifully balanced, creative without ever feeling forced, and packed with flavour. Standout moments included the smoked eel, the oxtail agnolotti, and the duck course, though honestly every dish felt like it belonged exactly where it was in the sequence. What elevated the evening even further was the hospitality. Sat Bains himself served one of the courses and spent time chatting with us, which was a lovely touch. The team then surprised us at the end with a menu signed by the entire kitchen to congratulate us on our anniversary – a gesture that meant a lot and perfectly summed up the generosity of the experience. I’ve been fortunate enough to dine at many two- and three-Michelin-star restaurants around the world, and this was genuinely one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had. Yes, it’s a special-occasion restaurant, but the level of creativity, execution and hospitality made it worth every penny. A huge thank you to the entire team for such a brilliant evening.

My wife and I have talked for many years about visiting RSB, and we finally got the push to do so when I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Our son bought us a lunchtime booking for Christmas in 2025, and this became out first Michelin Star restaurant experience. Boy oh boy, it was worth the wait. The staff are all amazing, very chatty, really enthused to explain everything along the way from the wine list to the detail of the cheeses we had. My wife is coeliac and they could not have done better to accommodate her specific dietary needs, so much so that we had a bespoke tasting menu customised for that.
