Restaurant 8 is a progressive dining concept brought to Liverpool by former Great British Menu contestant Andrew Sheridan. The award-winning restaurant offers guests a unique and immersive dining experience across multiple inventive courses, all set to a bespoke soundtrack curated especially for the meal. Ultimately, Restaurant 8 aims to bring people together over fantastic food, drink and music to create a sensory experience like no other.
The good news is that 8 can be booked exclusively for private dining occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, business meetings, product launches or simply a special gathering with friends and family. The venue is split across two floors, with a relaxed bar area upstairs for pre-dinner drinks and snacks, plus two 10-cover counters on the ground floor. These can be booked for any number up to 10, or up to 20, people across the two benches, so is well suited to both intimate and mid-sized gatherings. Groups who book these benches for a private dinner will also be hosted by their own private chef throughout the evening.
At its heart, the concept of Restaurant 8 is about serving simple, honest and flavoursome food using the highest quality produce possible. This means that the menus are constantly changing to reflect the best of the season’s bounty, so you can always expect to try something different. You might start your meal with a selection of chef’s snacks, followed by the likes of scallop with brown butter and dashi, Welsh lamb with rib and broth, and cod with caviar and roe. While a previous example of dessert from the menu has been Grana Padano custard with apple caramel.
Guests can book to enjoy the food menu only, with a minimum spend required for each table, or with a curated drinks pairing if liked.
