Radhuni Lounge Restaurant makes a striking private dining option in Princes Risborough, combining the character of a historic building with interiors that feel decidedly glamorous. The restaurant occupies a restored late-18th-century property with Victorian charm, Gothic Revival detailing, soaring ceilings and beautiful glass windows. Inside, that heritage is balanced by a much richer contemporary palette of turquoise, deep pinks and metallic finishes.
There are several ways to make the space your own, with the restaurant offering both private and semi-private hire. The dedicated private dining room can accommodate groups of up to 20, if you'd like to hire a space exclusively for your guests. The restaurant can also cater for semi-private groups of 10, while for major celebrations, the team are happy to discuss taking over the whole venue.
Food is a major part of the experience, with plenty that lends itself to a celebratory meal. From the grill, tandoori jhinga brings king prawns marinated with lime, English mustard, yoghurt and spices, while Jaffroni chicken uses succulent inner fillets grilled over charcoal. There is also chargrilled salmon with grapefruit dressing and chicken Amritsari, marinated with ginger, garlic and Kashmiri red chilli for a smoky finish.
From the main menu, Naga is the hottest option, made with Naga Bhut Jolokia chilli pickle, while Rogan is tangy with fresh tomatoes. Jalfrezi combines chilli, tomato, capsicum and onion; Korai layers garlic, ginger and crushed coriander seeds; and Zamdani brings green peppers, chillies, tomatoes and a spicy tangy sauce. For groups, biryani is an easy crowd-pleaser, with chicken or lamb, tikka versions, or a house special combining chicken tikka, lamb tikka and prawns. Vegetarian dishes include bagara baingan with tamarind and curry leaves, South Indian garlic vegetables, and paneer butter masala in a silky tomato-cashew sauce.
Finally, cocktails add another celebratory layer, from the chai-and-pineapple Radhuni and ginger-led Indian Mule to a Mango Mojito, Maple Old Fashioned or Spicy Margarita.
