Mortimer House Kitchen is a gorgeously rustic Italian restaurant and bar in Fitzrovia, benefitting from all that comes with such a fabulous location, from beautiful architecture to local transport links. It's the perfect place to host an intimate dinner of up to 20 people thanks to its relaxed atmosphere, making it a dream choice for birthdays, hen parties, team celebrations, and everything in between.
You'll find The Conservatory tucked behind the main restaurant, screened by long curtains that allow privacy and seclusion, while still offering the benefit of the hustle and bustle of the main space. Here, gathered around a central table, with high ceilings and plenty of greenery, guests are invited to order from the feasting menu, which includes homemade focaccia, beef carpaccio, burrata with fig and radicchio and seabass al Cartoccio with mussels, prawns, and cherry tomato.
Imagining something a little more intimate? How about the Kitchen Table, which is, just as it sounds, modelled on the idea of having guests around for dinner, sitting along your kitchen table. Up to nine guests can enjoy lunch or dinner here, and there's even the option to add on a private cookery lesson. With a beautiful Belfast sink and pea-green cupboards, it's more stylish than most kitchens, but we'd be happy to live the fantasy!
And finally, for a more professional ambience, there's the PDR, which sits on its own, on the fifth floor of the building. With a boardroom feel, there's swish in-built shelving filled with books and plants, a large TV and AV equipment and a handsome central table with space for eight guests. Perhaps you could mix business with pleasure and organise a lunch or dinner alongside an important meeting or to impress clients.
