Lady of The Grapes is an independent modern French bistro in London Bridge boasting two distinctive spaces for a private dining event. Just moments from Borough Market and Flat Iron Square, and housed in a Grade-II listed Victorian building, it serves seasonal plates, as well as a curated wine list of organic, biodynamic and natural wines that celebrate female winemakers.
Lady of The Grapes offers two private spaces for hire. Hidden beneath the main restaurant is an intimate speakeasy wine bar, Forbidden Fruit, which is perfect for private dinners, exclusive events and special occasions. Accommodating up to 50 guests, the subterranean space is candlelit and ancient-bricked, with rustic wooden furniture and comfortable leather sofas. Here, the focus is on natural wines, wine-led cocktails, cheese and charcuterie, toasties and snacks, and is well suited to intimate private dinners and supper clubs.
Examples of dishes on the bar snacks menu include cured pork salami, salted smoked beef, French sheep’s milk cheese and 30-month-aged Comte, as well as an indulgent selection of toasties, including one featuring ox tongue, gherkins, Dijon mustard and raclette. In addition to wine, there is also a thoughtful cocktail list to choose from featuring the likes of an Elysian Spritz, made with Gibsons elderflower liqueur and peach cordial, and the Mischiefs Envy with basil, cucumber and pet-nat.
Lady of The Grapes' main ground floor bistro can also be hired for private dinners of up to 70 seated guests. Housed in a light-flooded restaurant within an original Victorian building, it's a beautiful backdrop for a special meal with colleagues or friends, and even boasts a private courtyard terrace for an extra 20 guests. Here, you can enjoy classic French bistro dishes alongside a natural wine list that champions female winemakers.
For an extra special touch to your private dinner, the team can organise a wine masterclass for your guests, as well as expert wine pairings with every course, bespoke set menu options, and arrival drinks.
