If you’re planning a dinner that deserves to be remembered, Hambledon Wine Estate’s gorgeous spaces, award-winning wines and premium service are just the ticket. Set among the vineyards of the historic estate, the Michelin-rated restaurant offers varied spaces for both social and corporate celebrations. Plus, as the birthplace of English wine, it’s got pedigree too – a fitting backdrop for celebrations, business meals and milestone gatherings.
If you’re celebrating with a smaller group, you’ll find group tables available within the restaurant dining room itself, complete with oak-framed interiors and views over the rolling vineyard. However, if you’re looking to hire a private dining space that screams exclusivity, Hambledon Wine Estate’s private rooms have that covered, too.
Secluded away from the main oak-framed dining room, the Salisbury Room can seat up to 24 guests. It’s a natural choice for larger family occasions and company celebrations. Alternatively, smaller groups are well placed in the Jones Room, which can accommodate up to 14 and offers plenty of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. It also opens out directly onto the terrace, in case you’re looking for a bit of summer-weather flexibility. Larger groups of up to 80 can look into hiring the whole Restaurant Dining Room for big banquets and celebration dinners.
As for Hambledon’s private dining menus, the cooking is a celebration of British ingredients, and the passionate people behind them, from every corner of the British Isles. The menu is led by seasonal produce at its peak, which a skilful kitchen team turns into vibrant, ever-changing dishes.
Dishes change throughout the year, but to give a hint, menus here have featured the likes of confit salmon with pickled cucumber and sea vegetable salad, braised beef cheek with heritage carrots, and warm ginger cake with caramelised apple. Naturally, the estate’s own sparkling wines play a starring role, and if you’d like to build an experience around the meal, we’d highly recommend adding a tasting or vineyard tour before you sit down to dine.
