Gravetye Manor, set in the heart of the Sussex countryside, offers a private dining experience defined by timeless elegance, exceptional food and deeply personal service. Whether you're planning a celebratory lunch with friends, a family gathering, or a formal business dinner, the Manor’s historic wood-panelled rooms provide a beautifully English setting for truly memorable occasions.
There are two private event spaces available: The Private Dining Room, perfect for intimate parties of seven to 10 guests seated around a round table, and The Panelled Room, a larger option for up to 20 guests seated on a grand oval table, complete with one of the Manor’s striking feature fireplaces. Whichever you choose, you'll enjoy the full attention of Gravetye’s experienced events team, who will assist with everything from display table plans and personalised place cards to tailored menus and a smooth running of the day itself.
Food is the star of the show here. Executive Head Chef George Blogg crafts a Michelin-starred three-course menu that changes with the seasons, with ingredients drawn directly from the estate’s renowned Kitchen Garden, a true farm-to-table experience that elevates every plate. For those looking to create an even more immersive experience, private garden tours are available with lunch bookings from April to October, offering a rare glimpse into the legacy of William Robinson’s pioneering natural gardening.
Gravetye also offers Afternoon Tea for groups of six to 12 guests. From May to September, enjoy this experience in the Oak Gazebo, nestled in the Little Garden with views over the meadows and lake. In cooler months, tea is served in the warmth of the Manor’s private dining rooms which is the ideal setting for a winter celebration. From thoughtful service to its rich horticultural heritage, Gravetye Manor is a rare blend of history, hospitality and culinary excellence in a venue where every detail is steeped in English charm.
