About Fingal Hotel

Description

Formerly a Northern Lighthouse Board Ship, Fingal Hotel is a boutique hotel offering truly unique private dining experiences. Permanently berthed in the historic port of Leith just two miles from Edinburgh city centre, this elegant vessel boasts two stunning private dining spaces, suitable for all types of private events, from business meetings to wine tastings to private celebrations. Treat your guests to an unforgettable meal in a glamorous setting and take a look at what Fingal Hotel can offer you.

The primary private dining space, formerly the ship's command centre, is an intimate space able to accommodate up to 10 guests. It features unparalleled waterfront views, nautical décor and dedicated service from the Fingal team. For larger events, the Ballroom is a grand space boasting its own private bar, a double height ceiling, a retractable skylight and two curved staircases leading up to a raised gallery perfect for live music or entertainment. Up to 60 guests can be seated in the Ballroom to enjoy a spectacular private dinner, soaking in the unique ambience of Scotland's first floating luxury hotel.

For your private meal on board the Fingal, the style is modern British elevated with the finest quality local produce and a bespoke menu can be arranged with accompanying wines, which the sommelier will be happy to guide you through. Starters can include local delights like hot smoked salmon with cucumber, lemon, dill yoghurt labneh and pickled celery and Orkney scallops with cauliflower, chorizo jam and apple. For the main event, dig into Cumbrian chicken breast with spaetzle, chanterelles, broad beans, peas and Madeira sauce, or try the lamb rump with celeriac and truffle puree, confit potato, charred alliums and roast garlic jus. Finish with an artisan cheese selection with spiced fruit chutney and sourdough crackers, or for those of you with a sweet tooth, the tarte tatin with maple yoghurt ice cream, figs, spiced pecans and caramel sauce is a great bet.
