With charred timber walls and amber lighting, the Whisky Room aims to emulate the barrel ageing process and is the establishment's primary private dining space. With a built in TV ideal for business meetings or displaying pictures, up to 10 guests can be seated here for brunch, lunch or dinner. Alternatively, for parties of up to 20 people, The Nest is Duck and Waffle's semi-private dining area. Featuring a feathered chandelier, this elegant space would be perfectly suited to a celebration dinner and can be arranged to accommodate 30 standing guests if preferred.
For your meal, there is a choice of menus at a range of prices. For a classic affair, opt for the individual choice menu which includes nibbles followed by a selection of starters, such as braised chipotle pork belly with crackling and steamed Scottish mussels with preserved lemon. For the main event, try the namesake dish of confit duck on a soft waffle drizzled with a maple dressing, while desserts feature the likes of a classic apple tarte tatin. The sharer option includes many of the same dishes, but arranged on the table, allowing your guests to pick and sample what they fancy.
To accompany your meal there is an extensive wine list with a large selection of wines by the glass and a bottle list ranging from reasonably priced familiar favourites to sought after vintage labels to give your private dining event that special touch. There are also plenty of cocktails like the signature Duck and Stormy, a concoction of Bacardi Negra rum, coconut, lime and ginger juice, as well as classics like a Paloma and Margarita.
