Leafy Cobham is consistently rated as one of the best places to live in the UK thanks to its gorgeous green spaces and quaint rural atmosphere, despite being just a stone's throw from the capital. You can list Cobham’s food and drink scene among those assets, and chief among that scene is Coppa Club, which sits right in the heart of town. Boasting a kitchen, bar and lounge, a beautiful orangery and a roof terrace with private igloos, Coppa Club is brimming with large and small spaces to host a private dinner to remember.
Let’s start with the main restaurant, where ample foliage and rattan lampshades emanate an easy-going Mediterranean vibe. This space is ideal for larger private dinners and can be set up in all sorts of layouts, suiting anything from a drinks reception with nibbles to a full sit-down feast.
The bar and lounge is more suited to relaxed drinks parties and catch-ups, with plush stools surrounding a sleek bar, and for an even cosier occasion you and a group of friends can retire to the Orangery, where the Coppa Club kitchen can supply food and drink for smaller groups.
Last but certainly not least, Coppa Club Cobham’s roof terrace is home to five private dining igloos, as well as some al fresco tables. The ever unreliable British weather makes these igloos a godsend, as you can dine underneath the sky despite the weather, safe in the knowledge that you’re protected against the elements!
Coppa Club offers a huge variety of menus, from breakfast and brunch to all-day classics, specials, a kids menu and a special non-gluten menu for coeliacs. Between all those menus is a huge range of dishes, but the food is made up largely of very accessible international cooking. There’s also a set menu for large celebrations and private dinners, which includes dishes like buttermilk fried chicken with chilli mayo, seared king prawns with garlic, chilli and lemon, and chalkstream trout with herbed freekeh, red onions and parsley.
Meanwhile the drinks menu includes everything from wine, beer and classic cocktails, to cold pressed juices and smoothies.
