Nestled within the stunning Forest of Dean, Clearwell Castle boasts a myriad of private dining options for those looking for a special place to host a party, plan a corporate event or even just enjoy an intimate supper with a loved one.
A multi-award winning country manor, Clearwell Castle boasts 20 acres of gorgeous surrounding greenery, and inside, plush interiors, original features and stylish design. Its location is idyllic, too, beautiful woodlands and a tree-lined drive make the journey to the castle quite magical, and as it's only 45 minutes from Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester, it's also convenient for guests.
While there are some fantastic larger spaces for big parties and events, the team at Clearwell are keen to let couples and smaller groups know about their charming events series, including their Dinner Date offering. On selected dates throughout the coming months, couples, friends, families or colleagues are invited to spend an evening at the castle, enjoying the unique surroundings and incredible food cooked by expert chefs. From 5pm, you're invited to take a walk around the castle and its grounds, before joining us for welcome drinks at 6.45pm.
Throughout the evening, relax and enjoy as a four-course meal of seasonal produce is served. While menus are subject to change, you can expect dishes such as rhubarb and custard choux pastries and prawn cocktail cups as canapes, followed by a starter such as duck confit rillettes, cherry, thyme and fig. Next, a blackcurrant sorbet cleanses the palette, before mains such as braised chicken fillet with accompaniments like lavender mustard, celeriac mash, and Yorkshire pudding. Finally, for pudding strawberry sable, white chocolate and rose delice sounds delicious, as does baked vanilla cheesecake with maple, pecan and blueberry.
