On the fifth floor of the Grandstand is Ascot’s multi-million pound restaurant, On 5. With two-Michelin starred chef Phil Howard back in the kitchen for a third time, it’s no doubt the place to be for the racing calendar’s headline event. Accessible by a private lift, the venue’s bar area is a central feature with panoramic views and makes it an obvious place to open the day with some champagne. A private balcony and roof terrace also keep the final furlongs in good eyeshot. Private tables are available for up to 12 guests, while the entire restaurant can be booked exclusively for up to 170.
