On Saturday, 12th September, Tewinbury Farm is doing what it does best - bringing people, the best of the countryside and music that goes on well into the night together as it opens the fields for one of Hertfordshire’s most exciting events of the year - wellies hopefully not required.
From 4pm, music spills across the site as stages are set throughout the farm - including a dedicated Hertford live stage to celebrate local talent, with a full line up of acts to be announced. Headlining though, is the House and Garage Orchestra.
If you haven’t seen the House and Garage Orchestra yet, this is the perfect moment. They’re exactly what they sound like - a full live orchestra playing the classic anthems of UK house and garage. Think the euphoria of your favourite late-90s floor-fillers, but with strings, bass, and a rhythm section that could rattle the hay bales. It’s joyful and it absolutely goes off, which is why they’re celebrating 10 years of doing what they do best. Whether you lived through the original era or you’re discovering it fresh, they’re virtually impossible not to dance to.
As the light drops over the farm and that late summer warmth sets in, the Baa Bar will be serving drinks throughout and a line-up of food trucks serving produce from the fields around you will keep everyone fed from the first set to the last. The site is made for wandering, with different stages and different sounds around each corner.
Stay Over
For those who want to make a full night of it, there’s no need to rush off. Rooms across the farm, woodland huts and lakeside stays are all available, set between the river, fields and trees - wake up on site and take it slow the next morning.
Out in the fields, a boutique camping village sits just a short walk from the music. Proper beds, fully dressed tents and everything set up ahead of arrival, so you can drop your bags and head straight in. For something a little more considered, a limited number of spacious glamping tents are ready and waiting with beds and soft lighting, perfect for settling in for the night. Close to showers, water points and a shared area, all within walking distance of the festival. No taxis or rush required.
Woodland Dining
Set back in the trees, away from the main stages, Woodland Dining offers a slower moment in the middle of it all. A long table, fire-led cooking and a menu built around what’s in season - before heading back out into the music. Available as an add-on when booking for £45 per person.
