Tampton Hall is a historic, storied venue on the edge of Sheffield able to host weddings, Christmas parties, conferences and private celebrations. It boasts an impressive capacity of up to 250 people and an impressive portfolio of nine spaces to hire.
Built in 1855, it still retains many of its original features, standing tall in grey-toned stone. It was originally built as the home of the Shore family, a dynasty of steelmakers with links to Florence Nightingale. Today, the hall is privately owned and run as an events venue, with the team handling everything from wedding days to business conferences.
Whatever the occasion, one of the nine event spaces is likely to suit. For larger conferences, the Hallam Room is the obvious choice, accommodating up to 250 guests and equipped with a built-in screen and projector for lectures, presentations and large-scale meetings. The Lecture Theatre is another strong option, with its own screen and projector and capacity for up to 100 standing or 70 seated.
Medium-sized events can make use of the Ranmoor Room, which accommodates up to 80 guests, or the Endcliffe Room, seating 40 and holding 70 standing. Both are suitable for meetings and presentations, with the Endcliffe Room also working well as a breakout space during larger conferences.
For smaller sessions, the Lounge can seat 40, while the Hunter Bar is suited to board meetings, business lunches and more informal gatherings of up to 40. The Fulwood Room seats 15 and is particularly useful for committee meetings or conference breakouts, while the Nightingale Room can host up to 40 standing for private meetings or lunches. The Board Room is the most intimate option, with capacity for 18, making it particularly useful for interviews, strategy sessions and smaller executive meetings.
