Known for its Instagrammable tree trunks and foliage, Mowgli on Liverpool’s Water Street offers a standout setting for all kinds of parties. Housed in a grand, characterful building, this restaurant blends the modern design with natural elements and the vibrancy of Indian street food culture. It’s an ideal setting for birthday celebrations, graduation parties, and gatherings, as well as team celebrations and networking dinners.
With its warm lighting, whimsical vine-entwined trees, hanging lanterns, and communal dining ethos, Mowgli creates a memorable experience for guests looking for something beyond the conventional. The venue offers two semi-private event spaces, each designed to accommodate modest-sized groups. One space seats up to eight guests and allows for 14 standing, while the other can host up to 12 seated and 12 standing. While not fully enclosed, they are thoughtfully sectioned off to provide a sense of privacy without losing the buzz of the restaurant. Full venue hire of Mowgli Water Street is also available.
Events hire offers three sharing menus. The first is an affordable sharing menu including yoghurt chat bombs, fenugreek-kissed fries, three curries, roti, rice, and salted caramel ice cream. The Feasting menu, meanwhile, offers a glass of bubbles on arrival, and a choice of fries, gunpowder chicken or Himalayan cheese toasties, while The Grand Table menu includes Champagne, more choices, and a bottle of house wine (or three Estrella beers) for the table.
Mowgli began with founder Nisha Katona. Her approach to hospitality is built on the warm feelings generated by hosting at home and a love of that warm, chatty, soulful feeling. As a result, Mowgli has emerged as a spot where you’ll hear the clatter of tiffin boxes, feel the warmth of lamp light, and share plates together. All this positions Mowgli Water Street as an ideal spot for more casual events.
