The venue also houses a destination Michelin-starred restaurant attracting guests from afar to sample chef patron Michael Caines’ globally-acclaimed food. Caines’ services to the hospitality industry over the past 22 years saw him awarded an MBE in 2006 and he makes regular TV appearances on popular cookery and food programmes. His style of cookery is generally modern European, showcasing the finest local and regional produce with a light hand and acute attention to detail.
For truly special occasions the entire venue can be hired, enabling guests to have exclusive use of the three dining rooms, bar and lounge, terrace, gardens and all 21 bedrooms; perfect for large family celebrations or corporate events. The professional team at Lympstone can also be on hand to arrange any activities for guests in the parkland with everything from watersports to clay pigeon shooting and team building activities to wellbeing retreats on offer. For those staying a minimum of three nights a marquee is also available for hire with capacity for 150 people sitting down and 200 standing.
Alternatively for a more intimate affair two of the Manor’s stunning dining rooms are available for private dining occasions. The larger Berry Head Dining Room is an exquisite space, with a marble floor, central counter and luxurious furnishings in calming shades of blue. It has facility for 46 people seated or 70 standing. Next door the Mamhead Dining Room is decorated in soft champagne hues with beautiful landscape paintings adorning the walls and a central candle chandelier.

Mamhead provides the perfect space for an array of different occasions, it’s grey walls adorned with seasonal artwork gives the room a modern and cosy feeling. Whether it be a small family gathering or a corporate business lunch, you can enjoy your sit-down meal in the privacy of your own dining room. Mamhead can also be transformed into a private meeting space with conference facilities, including mirror cast TV technology. Up to 18 guests can be seated across 3 tables, or up to 12 guests on one larger table.
Taking its name from the outreaching views Lympstone Manor has over Haldon and Mamhead. Mamhead is an elegant dining room, from a table for two to a table for 12 this room gives an intimate setting for any experience. The room oozes luxury from champagne coloured chairs to taupe curtains, a unique art deco ceiling and candle effect Chandelier, the room is also one of the main rooms to feature our Fine Art @ exhibition, changing throughout the year to showcase our monthly artists.

Berryhead is the largest of all three dining rooms. Our stunning chandelier reflects off the mirror wall and our soft blue furnishings brings the colours of the estuary inside, giving the room a bright, airy and relaxed feel. Great for larger groups, Berryhead can sit up to 46 guests across 6 round tables.

Named after the extraordinary view from Lympstone Manor, with clear views down the coast and across Lyme Bay, the eye is drawn to Berry Head, a significant headland on the South Devon coast. For those looking for a bigger celebration, a marquee can be erected on the grounds as an extension to the house, providing a perfect amount of additional space for up to 300 guests to host either a dinner and dance, a wedding reception or large dining event. We are able to source marquees with clear span walls, allowing our stunning view of the Exe estuary to be the perfect backdrop to your evening.
