The Vera Anstey Room seating up to 30 which is suited to events, such as board meetings, committees and seminars. It can also be adapted to provide a venue for press conferences, presentations and lectures to a small audience. The room combines elegant, boardroom-style furnishing with a full complement of audio-visual and presentation equipment with a small ante-room, often used for delegate registration, and in which our caterers can provide finger food and drinks receptions for up to 30 people.

There is a suite of 4 modern meeting rooms, seating up to 12 people in each on the top floor of the Cheng Kin Ku Building, all of which enjoy spectacular views over London, use of a communal lounge and roof terrace area. Alternatively, there are more traditional style wood panelled committee rooms with built-in AV equipment available for meetings of 8 – 18 people.

A dedicated conference space at LSE, available to hire year-round. A versatile and interesting venue with a calm relaxed ambiance. The flexible meeting area, accommodating up to a maximum up to 50 theatre style can be set up for the specific requirements of your event; up to 30 boardroom or U-shape, 32 classroom style or 30 cabaret style with an area for serving catering and refreshments. A spacious social area, elegantly furnished with comfortable sofas provides space for networking and more informal discussion and breakout sessions. The Cabinet of Curiosities separating the two areas always provokes interest and curiosity among delegates with its unique collection of unusual objects. There is also a private boardroom, seating up to 8, often used in conjunction with the main space for one-to-one or breakout sessions.

Alumni Theatre in the Cheng Kin Ku Building

LSE's Cheng Kin Ku Building, Marshall Building and Sir Arthur Lewis building all feature Harvard style theatres, with a tiered horseshoe layout and seating in executive chairs to facilitate full audience discussion and participation. The theatres include built-in AV equipment; Visualiser, PC and 2 projectors and screens.

The Auditorium located in LSE's Centre Building is a 200-seater flat Auditorium with a raised stage. The Auditorium is based on the lower ground floor of the building and has access to a reception area where buffet lunches and drinks receptions can be served. The building also has several medium sized teaching rooms in close proximity of each other, suitable for breakout spaces and making the Centre Building the ideal place to hold a Conference during vacation periods.

Hong Kong Theatre

The main lecture theatre in LSE's Clement House, the Hong Kong Theatre provides an ideal plenary room for weekend conferences, or an evening lecture venue for an audience of up to 220. The theatre is a converted banking hall and is spacious, light and has wood-panelled walls and a marble-floored foyer. Presentations can be delivered effectively using the built-in projection system and the room also features a visualiser. Given its proximity to the Royal Courts of Justice, the Hong Kong Theatre is a preferred venue for legal organisations giving presentations and press conferences as well as lectures and conference sessions. The Hong Kong Theatre is a smart, accessible venue which offers a modern contrast to the more traditional academic surrounds of the Old Theatre.

Sheikh Zayed Theatre

The Sheikh Zayed theatre is the largest lecture theatre based in LSE's Cheng Kin Ku Building, which is located on the historic Lincoln's Inn Fields. The Sheikh Zayed theatre has a capacity of up to 400 and being based on the lower ground floor of the building it has access to a large reception area where buffet lunches and drinks receptions can be served. The building also has a number of small to medium sized teaching rooms in close proximity of each other, suitable for breakout spaces and making the Cheng Kin Ku Building the ideal place to hold a Conference during vacation periods.

Seating up to 460, the Old Theatre is an academic lecture theatre with a raised stage and is ideally suited for lectures, debates and presentations. It features a built in sound system, visualiser and data projection facilities. The semi-circular auditorium provides a venue where the audience can feel involved in the proceedings. Meetings and lectures held in the Old Theatre often provoke the lively atmosphere of debate and enquiry associated with the LSE. It is also the ideal venue for plenary sessions for weekend conferences, when used in conjunction with the School's various seminar rooms.

Peacock Theatre

The Peacock is LSE's own West-End Theatre seating up to 999. The venue is ideal for company AGMs, presentations or conferences and is perfect for staging high profile events. The large stage can provide a platform for a debate or lecture, while a presentation can be enhanced by a full complement of audio-visual equipment, including data and video projection and a built in sound system. The Peacock's two stylish bars can be used to cater for your delegates, or as a post-event reception venue. We can provide all the services and staff you need to put on a large-scale event in a self-contained venue, including ushering staff and experienced technicians. This combines to make the Peacock a sound choice of venue for a presentation or lecture-style event to a large audience in Central London.
