Housed within the Grade-II listed Midland Hotel, Events by Adam Reid brings a new take to your upcoming event, showcasing a refined yet relaxed feel in one of the city’s most iconic settings. It’s a premium spot for all types of events, from corporate conferences and meetings to relaxed summer get-togethers.
The private space, Mount Street Dining Room, can host groups of up to 80 banquet-style, or 150 if you’re planning a standing reception. The room itself is particularly striking - think ornate wood-panneled walls, bay windows, and a grand fireplace, with historic portraits and golden chandeliers that are sure to add a regal feel to your event.
When it comes to the catering, guests can choose from three set menus, each showcasing the very best of Northern produce. Opt for the ‘Little Bit of Something Fancy’ menu, complete with canape style bites, perfect for a standing reception or pre-dinner nibble. This menu includes the likes of shrimp crumpet, beef and black pie, and cheese on toast. Elsewhere, ‘The Picky Tea’ is ideal for grazing, offering finger and bowl style food. Choose from the likes of pastrami cured trout, and beef cheek in onion gravy, followed by curried courgettes, cod cake in shrimp butter and watercress and potato chowder.
Planning a more formal event with a sit-down dinner? ‘The Family Dinner’ offers a multi-course feast for you and your guests, with sharing sides for the whole group. Tuck into the likes of malt loaf and beef butter, followed by garlic and herb roasted chicken with barley stew, and treacle sponge with clotted cream and custard to finish.
