Bar 163 has been a much-loved local of Egham for nearly 30 years. Originally solely a bar, its food menu became so popular that the team decided to turn it into a full service restaurant which serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu of internationally-inspired dishes. There is a selection of options available when it comes to choosing the right space for your occasion. Many guests opt for the upstairs Balcony Room which is available throughout the day or evening for exclusive private hire and can host a medium-sized party for a sit-down meal or dancing. From here, guests can enjoy drinks outside, too, thanks to the small balcony-terrace which looks down to the bustling street below.
In the summer months, the Mediterranian Garden is a stunning al fresco choice. Alive with vines and fig trees, it feels like taking a mini vacation, just for a few hours. As well as the usual celebration menu choices, which we will get on to, guests are also invited to enjoy a BBQ in this space, which can host around 50 guests.
In terms of choosing your catering option, Bar 163 has plenty of ideas to keep you properly fed and watered. Choose from banquet-style sharing platters, a buffet menu or set two or three courses, depending on your tastes.
While menus are ever changing, an example of what you might find in the buffet menu includes goat cheese mousse and beetroot crostini, alongside Spanish omelette with spinach and potatoes, and lamb slider with caramelised red onions and yoghurt dressing. As for drinks, expect a well curated wine list focuses mainly on red and white varieties, as well as the classic cocktails.
