Bachilton Barn is a beautiful, rural barn venue with over 150 years of history. The site has been in the England family for three generations and while in 2001 renovations were done to turn parts of it into a wedding venue, it's still a working farm today and you can even spot cattle out in the fields, helping keep the grass down.
While Bachilton Barn specialises in weddings, the team welcome events of any kind and are experienced at pulling off any kind of party you might have in mind. Overall, the site includes the farm cottages, original stone barn and Mongolian yurts, with plenty of options for both venues and accomodation.
Within this, there's a selection of different rooms and spaces to consider for your event. The Bachilton space has a capacity of 160 standing and 100 seated, features orignal stone walls and stunning, hard-oak flooring and plenty of atmospheric details, like adjustable mood lighting.
The barn itself is what the team would call the hero space, with a large capacity of 160 standing or seated, and a classic lofty ceiling with gorgeous original beams. Look up, and you'll also notice a delicate canopy decorated with fairy lights, which be added to with floral installations, too. This space is ideal for DJ or live entertainment.
Planning something more intimate? If you were picturing an intimate dinner, the Lochy room has a view of the pond and outdoors gazebo, with enough space for 20 people around a table. And, if the weather's fine, there's always the lush outdoors! Guests can mill around, enjoy the views, sit on the picnic benches and sit inside the gazebo.
In terms of catering, while this can't be supplied in house, the team have created an approved supplier list that they ask you choose from, of businesses who know the venue and have proven to deliver the best results.
