About Almeida

Its position opposite the Almeida Theatre just off Upper Street makes Almeida popular not only for pre- and posttheatre dining, but also for meeting and entertaining. This is a neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Islington, with a focus on seasonal dishes devised by head chef Tommy Boland. The floor-to-ceiling glass doors let light flood in, while the semi-open kitchen allows guests to see what’s going on behind the scenes. Elsewhere, modern art adorns the walls of two well-appointed private dining rooms. The venue is also suitable for weddings, private banqueting and corporate functions.

Testimonials For Almeida

Perfect Evening18 SEPTEMBER, 2018

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful evening I had with my girlfriends at the Almeida. Many had never been before and they were impressed with everything - the delicious food, lovely wine and very attentive service from Mikela, our waiter for the evening. It was perfect.

Outstanding Service 07 JULY, 2018

Thank you so much for all your help organising our wedding lunch! You've been so incredibly helpful from the first time we contacted you, and we couldn't have done it without you. We can't tell you how amazing the day was, and the lunch was the icing on the cake. The room looked gorgeous, and the service was outstanding. All of the guests were so impressed with the restaurant, the staff and the food! Delicious! I only wish I could have eaten more but nerves and excitement got the better of me. We really couldn't recommend your restaurant highly enough and we're so pleased we were able to celebrate our day with you.
