Christmas at The Fire Station combines the atmosphere of a historic Waterloo pub with flexible spaces, traditional festive menus and plenty of scope for larger group celebrations. The whole venue can be hired exclusively for up to 200 guests, making it a strong option for office parties, family gatherings and Christmas get-togethers with friends.
Inside, the former Edwardian fire station feels particularly well suited to winter events. Exposed brick, dark wood panelling, industrial-style lighting and high ceilings create a warm, characterful backdrop, while eclectic artwork and touches of greenery soften the space. The original architectural details give the venue a sense of occasion without making it feel overly formal.
Food can follow a more traditional Christmas format or be kept casual. The three-course festive menu includes starters such as pink peppercorn and pomegranate-cured Scottish salmon, chicken, pancetta and apricot terrine, or roasted beetroot with chicory, whipped feta, cranberry and Granny Smith apple. Mains include roast Norfolk turkey with pigs in blankets, chestnut and thyme stuffing, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and gravy, alongside options such as baked North Sea cod, steak and triple-cooked chips, or butternut squash and chestnut Wellington.
Desserts range from Christmas pudding with Cornish clotted cream to sticky toffee pudding, clementine sorbet with mulled berries, or a cheese course. Extras such as pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese and additional roast potatoes can be added to the table.
For a more informal party, sharing boards can include smash burger sliders, turkey and cranberry sliders, sausage rolls, haddock goujons, lamb koftas, halloumi fries, mini brownies and mince pies. Drinks packages can include beer, cider and wine, with welcome fizz available for a more celebratory start to the evening.
