If you're planning an office Christmas party, The Loft boasts a private first-floor room for up to 45 people seated or 60 standing. The space can be figured in boardroom, U-shaped and theatre-style layouts, and features a Smart TV with AirPlay, Chromecast video-conferencing equipment, free fibre Wi-Fi, an independent sound system and soundproof doors. It's a fully flexible room that can cater for dinners, receptions and festive presentations.
The team have put together a festive menu which runs through December, Monday to Saturday, offering two and three course options. Starters include cream of mushroom soup with chive dressing, farmhouse pork pâté with celeriac remoulade and piccalilli dressing, smoked trout tian with horseradish cream, or white bean houmous with chilli honey, pickled mooli, hazelnuts and chicory jam. All arrive with bread from the Barn Bakery. For main course, there is traditional roast turkey with crispy potatoes, glazed carrots and parsnips, sprout and pancetta fondue, pigs in blankets and pork and sage stuffing. Alternatively, choose sage and onion stuffed pork belly, Jerusalem artichoke risotto with Stilton and truffle oil, pan-fried seabass with shrimp and fennel ragù, or mustard and maple-marinated roast Hereford beef.
Afterwards, The Barn Social downstairs keeps the evening going with handmade cocktails and mocktails, wine, spirits, draught lager and cider, bottled beer and ale, plus hot and soft drinks. And if nobody fancies organising the journey home, The Barn Hotel sits right next door with 33 bedrooms, including two suites. Add in the Father Christmas Experience and eco skating rink for families, and Berryfields has plenty going on this Christmas!
