Nothing says Christmas party like a stately home tucked away in the middle of English countryside, filled with twinkly lights and crackling fires. Making the dream a reality is Sopwell House, one of Herefordshire’s most-loved luxury hotels. A true home from home, this family-run, five-star Georgian manor prides itself on its warm welcome.
Christmas parties and packages are catered for in every sense of the word at Sopwell House, with the team putting on a rota of events and spreads suitable for all kinds of parties. Choose from festive lunches and dinners, Christmas afternoon teas, overnight stays, New Year celebrations and even children’s events.
One of the most popular picks from the roster of celebratory options is the festive feast available in the Brasserie. Here you’ll be treated to an atmospheric and vibrant dining experience suitable for tables of any size. A three-course lunch and dinner (with all the trimmings, of course) is just £34.95 for adults and £17.50 for children, with under threes dining for free.
If you’d prefer something slightly more exclusive, the hotel offers private party options that include welcome drinks, a three-course sit-down meal, wine with dinner, hot drinks and mince pies, a DJ and party host, fun table novelties and the essential Christmas decorations. For smaller teams or gatherings, the popular ‘joiner parties’ create a lively atmosphere and the chance to meet other merrymakers by booking just a table or two.
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve all have special events hosted on them that include fun extras like carol singers and saxophonists, to ensure the season is suitably magical for all guests.
