Christmas at Brasserie Constance is all about indulgence without the fuss. Set beside the Thames at Fulham Pier, this light-filled riverside restaurant feels worlds away from the stuffy banquet halls or overly themed party venues Christmas parties are usually associated with. Instead, expect a relaxed, beautifully styled space where seasonal ingredients and thoughtful hosting take the lead.
The Festive Menu is a nostalgic nod to Christmases past but with just the right amount of culinary finesse. It opens with a trio of dressed seafoods (think smoked salmon, lobster and prawn cocktail), followed by a traditional roast goose with all the trimmings, and finishes with a clementine and stem ginger trifle so pretty it could double as a centrepiece. There’s a vegetarian version too, starring a Delica pumpkin tart with clementine and kale pesto and Constance Spry’s very own rum baba for dessert. Naturally, mince pies also make a happy appearance in honour of the restaurant’s stylish namesake.
For intimate celebrations, the private dining room is tucked discreetly at the far end of the restaurant, seating up to 10. Light and artful, with textile wall hangings and its own terrace space, it’s ideal for a small team dinner, festive client lunch or a family get-together with flair.
Bigger plans? You can hire Brasserie Constance and Flo Bar in their entirety, giving you exclusive use of the riverside setting, complete with statement interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows and a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Adam Byatt. Add in cocktails designed for the season (mulled negroni, anyone?) and a team who know how to make things seamless, and it’s a no-brainer for those looking to host something special without going overboard. You could say this is Christmas done the Constance way: stylish, seasonal, and full of warmth.
