Starting with the Main Hall, this space is the largest in Banqueting House and provides a real sense of grandeur. The room features neo-classical pillars, glittering chandeliers and the masterpiece that is Ruben's painted ceiling. Upon entering Banqueting House, guests will first be received in a gorgeous entry hall which is a great space for an arrival drink. They will then head up the grand staircase that opens out into the breathtaking Main Hall. The space boasts the perfect versatility with its size; big enough for large festivities but also small enough to make an intimate evening of celebration.
Alternatively, the Undercroft is cosy and romantic with lit candelabras and vaulted space. Originally designed as a drinking den for King James I, there is no better space for late night drinks. The setting creates a magical atmosphere and is no less impressive than the Main Hall. While smaller, the space can still host 380 for a standing event or 120 for a festive dinner.
