Michelin-starred Angler restaurant proves popular with punters for many reasons. Aside from the excellent food (courtesy of executive chef Gary Foulkes), this seventh floor gem also hides a beautiful Mediterranean roof terrace and a very smart chef's table too. Throw in the very accessible location (just a short walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations) and it's no wonder that the restaurant is so popular over Christmas.
If you're looking for somewhere light, bright, spacious and smart to hold a Christmas party with friends, or a corporate do, then look no further - Angler is available for exclusive private hire, or you can hire the terrace or the chef's table independently. The latter seats around 14 guests and is available for private Christmas meals, or small festive events. 'The Chef's View' is so called as guests have a private panoramic window into the kitchen to watch Foulkes and his team in full flow, and there are also floor-to-ceiling windows with magnificent views over Central London.
The terrace, meanwhile, also proves popular in winter thanks to an abundance of heaters and a retractable roof that keeps you warm and dry even in the worst of London's winter weather. There's also an adjoining bar, making this perfect for Christmas drinks parties.
Or, there's the option of hiring Angler in its entirety - the restaurant has capacity for around 200 standing guests, and the kitchen team at Angler are on hand with some typically elegant Christmas cooking, should you want to eat here too. Angler's Christmas menu features treats like Vacherin Mont d'Or cheese gougeres, Angler beer bread with caramelised yeast and beer butter, crispy pig's head with barbecue apple and cranberry ketchup, lobster ravioli, roast duck with red cabbage and bubble and squeak, and chocolate mince pies.
