This aesthetically-designed restaurant and bar is inspired by the food and drinking culture of Mexico, with a menu built around family recipes, regional dishes and modern Mexican cooking. The space can host up to 60 guests seated or 80 standing, making it a good size for a proper party, whether that be friends, family or potentially a whole office get-together. Larger groups can reserve an area of the Cantina, while exclusive daytime hire is also available for private events.
The interiors have a warm, contemporary feel, with timber panelling, textured walls, dark wood furniture and oversized pendant lights, while leafy plants and doors opening onto an outdoor terrace bring plenty of greenery into the room. For parties centred around dinner, the feasting menu is designed as a mix of dishes to share around the table. Start with tuna tostadas layered with lettuce, cucumber, tamari, chipotle, avocado and salsa macha, before moving onto Tijuana-style quesabirria filled with beef brisket, cheese, onion, red chilli and coriander, accompanied by birria broth.
There are ribeye steak tacos made with 42-day-aged beef, salsa verano and salsa macha, alongside camarones a la diabla: king prawns with fiery salsa diabla, cabbage slaw and chilli mayonnaise. Dessert keeps the Mexican theme going with churros and chocolate sauce or tres leches cake.
