About

In Belfast, James St. restaurant stands out amongst the ground as a golden destination for various occasions. Since its opening, this dining spot has consistently ranked among Belfast's finest, celebrating the richness of local produce. Helmed by executive head chef Ryan Stringer since 2021. Stringer's innovative menu, influenced by a charcoal grill, showcases locally sourced, ethically produced ingredients with an international flair. Offering enticing set menus, the restaurant is renowned for hosting what they say is the best Sunday roast in Belfast. With private dining options accommodating up to 40 guests and the ability to host events for 140 guests, James St. ensures memorable experiences for every diner.

Begin with snacks to share, featuring James St. champ bread, Guinness wheaten, and seaweed butter. The journey continues with delicious starters like crab and chilli linguine, glazed beets with gorgonzola and walnuts, and crispy squid with black garlic mayo and togarashi. Mains showcase a variety, from seared salmon with sweetheart cabbage to Irish turkey with all the festive trimmings, or winter truffle gnocchi with roast cauliflower. Devour succulent steaks and delightful sides for a well rounded experience. Dessert indulgences include buttermilk panna cotta with mulled winter fruits and a 70% chocolate tart with raspberry sorbet.

The cocktail menu is almost as impressive as the food. Choose from the Aussie Martini made with Absolute, creme de cassis, pineapple, citrus, vanilla and egg whites, or the Irish Re-Fashioned, made with Jameson, almond and house made spicy orange bitters. If you prefer a sparkling cocktail, you may enjoy the Gin Elderflower Spritz, consisting of Beefeater, elderflower liqueur, Prosecco and sparkling water. The non-alcoholic cocktails are still just as delicious and include the Fantastic Orange made with berries, cranberries, citrus and Fanta orange, and the Raspberry 75 - a pairing of Gordon's 0.0%, raspberry, citrus and sparkling water.
