Stuzzi Leeds offers a relaxed alternative to the traditional wedding venue, combining a characterful city centre setting with generous Italian cooking and plenty of good wine. Created by four friends with a passion for all things Italian, the restaurant can be hired exclusively for wedding receptions of up to 90 seated guests or 120 standing.
The space includes a private upstairs bar for your drinks reception, a mezzanine DJ booth and space for dancing, and add-ons like a giant tiramisu or giant mozzarella ball. Celebrations can begin in the Italian spritz bar with bespoke welcome drinks, from limoncello to Negronis, accompanied by handcrafted canapes. Couples can then choose a tailored three-course menu showcasing Stuzzi’s Italian cooking, with dishes designed to work particularly well for larger gatherings.
Canapes might include cured sea bream with squid ink crisp and caviar or choux buns filled with chicken liver parfait and Negroni marmalade. A wedding feast could continue with tomato, rosemary and oregano focaccia, platters of salami, cheese and antipasti, signature arancini and swordfish carpaccio with fresh orange, shaved fennel and lemon dressing. Generous servings of handmade pasta might include handmade radiatore with a 12-hour beef shin and 'nduja ragu, followed by a selection of house-made Italian desserts.
The interiors bring a touch of the Mediterranean to Leeds. A high vaulted ceiling and large arched window create an airy backdrop, while wooden tables, burgundy seating and tiles and chandelier-style lighting make the restaurant feel cosy and convivial. Greenery fills the room, including a large olive tree, while a wine library positioned above an arch creates an eye-catching focal point. Couples can add their own flowers, greenery, balloons and decorations to personalise the space.
Smaller weddings can make use of Stuzzi’s private dining area, accommodating around 24 to 25 guests seated or up to 60 standing, providing a more intimate option for a food-focused celebration.
