A picturesque countryside wedding venue near Southampton, New Place Hotel makes an ideal location. Even before you pass through the wrought iron gates of the New Place Hotel, you will be awed by the history and grandeur of this beautiful country estate.

Set within 32 acres of stunning landscaped gardens, the Tudor-styled building stands as a magisterial background. But the venue retains the personalised feel everyone deserves for the big day. With the help of the dedicated New Place Hotel weddings team and in-house coordinator, your dream day won't be only in your imagination for much longer. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, there are various rooms each showcasing the building’s rich history.

Rooms are decked out in warm neutral tones that complement interior features. The Bristol Room, Dining Room and garden are all licensed for civil ceremonies and provide an elegant location to say ‘I do’, while The Lutyens Bar makes for an enticing spot for reception drinks. As your guests are distracted by refreshments, take this glowing opportunity to nab some unforgettable photos on the grounds of the estate. Afterwards, wedding breakfasts take place in the gorgeous Arden Suite, culminating in a night of drinks and dancing. The wedding packages are all-inclusive, with spaces for up to 110 guests for the ceremony and breakfast, and 150 for the evening.

That’s not all, New Place Hotel offers 111 bedrooms on-site for your guests to hire. Plus, to make sure the day is extra special you’ll receive a range of complimentary gifts, including a honeymoon suite for the happy couple, a dressing room, and a free stay with dinner and breakfast on your first anniversary.

Rest at ease and enjoy your first moments of married life as we’ll host your drinks reception on the glorious terrace and keep the conversation flowing with tall Pimm’s, classic Kir Royales and ice cold champagne as your guests enjoy a string quartet – or a harpist.

The largest room in The Manor house is The Dining Room. Such an elegant, light and airy room. Just imagine saying “I Do with the spectacular views over the terrace and gardens with 95 of your loved ones watching lovingly as you make your special promises to each other.

The Bristol Room

Ceremony Capacity: 80

Say “I do” in The magnificent Bristol Room located in the Manor House which is perfect for a traditional civil ceremony. The ceiling is characteristic of Jacobean style and the wood panelling that decorates the walls is mahogany, decorated with Coats of Arms and merchant marks with a magnificent fireplace. You can have 80 of your loved one’s seated in the Bristol Room.

Arden Suite

Nestled within the woodland grounds, the exclusive Arden Suite has it’s own private terrace, a generously stocked bar, a comfy lounge area and wash rooms. 110 of your guests can watch as you make you way down a long traditional isle that really is a blank canvas for you to differentiate and make unique to you.

The Beauty Suite

New Place Hotel is proud to present our beautiful Wedding Preparation Suite. It has beauty stations, natural day light and your own private changing area so you can have that ‘big’ reveal to your VIP’s. There’s also comfy sofas, mini fridges and a TV so you can sit back and relax on your all-important day. Located on the first floor of our Grade 1 Listed Manor House, you have the whole room to yourselves. It even boasts views over the front circle so you can privately sneak a peak of your guests upon their arrival. When the time comes to say ‘I Do’ you’ll head down our beautifully decorated hand carved staircase, and into the ceremony room where you will be ready to walk down the aisle to meet your loved one.

Where do I start? Our day was absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. All the staff were so friendly and super helpful! Our day ran so smoothly, it was absolutely elegant. We cannot thank the team at New Place enough! They helped us through everything! We knew exactly what we needed to do! The day goes by so quickly, and Freddie really made sure we had some time to ourselves! Freddie is absolutely brilliant, everything we needed she did. No question was too big or small! She is impeccable! Throughout the day, she ensured everything was perfect! I could not recommend New Place more! When we first visited, we were blown away by how beautiful the place is! We first thought of New Place Hotel as our venue when we met them at a wedding fayre. They had everything we were looking for and more. Once we had confirmed our date, we discovered a few friends and colleagues had also been married at New Place so I knew we were in good hands. Lots of opportunities to discuss with your wedding coordinator for all the details of the day. We liked that we could have a taste of the food a few months before picking our menu and that we could attend a wedding fayre held at new place to get a real sense of what our day could be. Poppy had taken over as our coordinator quite close to the day and was very kind when I was a little overwhelmed. Freddie and the team on the day did a fantastic job with last minute issues and really made us feel that nothing was too much trouble! The day went very smoothly and everyone loved the beautiful venue and that they could stay overnight. Lots of the vendors knew New Place well so that took the pressure off. Would recommend :)
