Tying the knot near Ipswich? The Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel offers years of experience planning fantastic weddings, in addition to nine acres of Suffolk parkland, a Garden Bar, and various suites and venues to choose from. Plus, weddings at the Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel come with a slice of historic charm. Originally serving as a hunting lodge in the 16th century, it retains some original features, though things have been modernised with contemporary weddings in mind.
There are three dedicated event venues within the hotel, each of them open to adjustments so that your wedding reflects your vision perfectly. The largest of them is the Willow Suite, which is licensed for wedding ceremonies of up to 180 guests, and can seat 150 for wedding banquets complete with powder blue interiors, white cornicing, and an airy feel. For slightly smaller wedding receptions, however, you can organise up to 50 of your nearest and dearest on one central table. This one’s also great for summer weddings, providing direct access to the sunny Willow terrace and lawns, and photo opportunities aplenty.
There’s also the Orwell Suite - a smaller, ground-floor space with a gold and red colour palette. Here, you can get hitched with an audience of up to 36 and have them all stay for a wedding breakfast in the same room. That said, if you’re looking to host a very tight group of family and friends, the Brook Suite is an intimate, warm white space for wedding receptions with up to 20.
Whatever you’re looking for, the weddings team at Muthu come armed with various different wedding packages and bespoke services. Each, even the most affordable one, comes with a resident disco until midnight, space for a civil ceremony, and an arrival drink of Prosecco (or a post-ceremony Pimm’s), along with a luxurious stay in the Bridal suite for the bride and groom with breakfast included.
