Lainston House is the English country house of dreams, with its heritage brick exterior, ivy set along the walls, and lime trees that lead you up to the house. The entire grounds looks like it’s been taken straight out of a Jane Austen novel, and makes for the perfect, romantic setting for your special day. Dating back to the 10th century, this historic house in Hampshire is set within 63 acres of land, which also includes a rustic barn and outdoor pavilion, giving plenty of options for where to hold your ceremony. There are plenty of rooms to choose from, award winning dining, bespoke packages and a dedicated wedding coordinator, to help you plan your day to perfection.

With eight locations within the grounds to hold your ceremony, there’s a size and style to suit every couple. The largest of the indoor spaces is The Dawley Barn, which is an original 17th century building that has been elegantly converted into a unique private room and is suitable for all occasions. Able to seat up to 120 guests for ceremonies, wedding receptions and dinners, this part of the grounds offers you an exclusive feel, whilst still being part of the main house.

Adjacent to the award winning Avenue restaurant, there is the Carlton Room that boasts incredible views of the mile long avenue of Lime trees, and provides an elegant setting for weddings of up to 50 guests. For more intimate ceremonies, there are also rooms that cater for between 20 and 40 guests.

For the warmer months, Lainston House offers an outdoor option, with a pavilion where you can admire the rolling Hampshire countryside whilst saying ‘I do’. The pavilion can hold up to 120 guests, and overlooks Lainston House, and is perfectly paired with the marquee or tipi to hold the wedding breakfast. With plenty of food, drinks and events packages, this is a truly special place to start the rest of your lives.

Well what can we say! Thank you to everyone who made our day very special, it was absolutely amazing. From the initial phone call to Lydia and all the way through, she made it easy and stressless. Also a big thank you to Nick, he made sure everyone was made special. He really looked after us all. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fabulous, so a big thank you to Chef and all the Kitchen staff. One of my guests loved the way she had her Canapes presented, in our own little dish. Even the next day when I picked up all our bits and pieces everything was all ready for us to pick and everyone was so friendly and complimentary. Lainston made our day very special, and we are so happy you were part of it our day.

Lainston house staff we incredible (Emily, Nick, Steven) These guys looked after us the whole day and nothing was too much for them. Lydia was not working our wedding day; however, she was so thorough and kind throughout the whole process making it a breeze for us. Every staff member is a credit to the team there, from our menu tasting to just visiting the staff gave an exceptional service. The food was to die for! We have had nothing but compliments, the chicken was so tender and Lainston house even went out of their way to serve the bride a different pudding to her, because she wanted a different one. Lainston House staff swooped in and helped save the day when our wedding cake was destroyed in transit to the venue, and helped the cake maker make the cake look as good as it was in the morning. They did not come to us and stress us out, they did it all without us knowing. We cannot thank this team enough.
