King Street Townhouse is a beautiful grade II-listed wedding venue in Manchester offering ceremony, reception and overnight spaces for weddings of up to 100 guests.
Set inside a building that has stood for more than 140 years, King Street Townhouse sits in the King Street conservation area, surrounded by some of Manchester's best-known shops and restaurants, with skyline views that keep the city at the heart of the day. Behind its elegant façade, the hotel offers six versatile event spaces designed to accommodate every part of a wedding celebration, all supported by a dedicated events team who tailor each detail to the couple.
Couples say their "I dos" in the combined Small and Large Hubs on the first floor, an intimate setting with period wooden flooring that seats up to 60 for the ceremony. After exchanging vows, the sixth-floor South Terrace & Lounge becomes the focus for the wedding breakfast, with floor-to-ceiling skyline views, an elegant private bar and flexible partitions that adapt from a formal seated dinner to an elegant reception; it seats 80 for the wedding breakfast and holds up to 100 guests standing. As evening falls, the same space transitions into a party setting for drinks, cake-cutting, dancing and late-night snacks.
Catering is provided in-house, with menus tailored to each couple across canapés, barbecues and three-course seated meals, all made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and dietary requirements accommodated throughout. The hotel format is where King Street Townhouse really comes into its own as a destination wedding: couples can host a private family dinner the evening before in the Wine Cellar, where vaulted brick ceilings and a feature wine wall set the scene for up to 16 guests, then gather again the next morning for a private newlyweds' breakfast. A Private Screening Room, seating 20 in cinema-style, offers a pre-wedding film night or a way to keep younger guests entertained during the reception.
Guests can stay across 40 individually designed bedrooms, while the newlyweds retreat to a Master Suite with sweeping views across Manchester. With a seventh-floor infinity pool, spa and relaxation area also on hand, the celebration can easily stretch into a full wedding weekend.
