Highbury Hall is a historic Grade-II listed mansion in south Birmingham. Originally commissioned by former Birmingham mayor Joseph Chamberlain, it makes a beautiful option for your wedding day thanks to its interesting past and period features.
Nowadays this former home is a historical landmark and host to all sorts of different occasions from weddings and parties, to charity events and even films. It's easy to see why - from its magnificent statue, gold-toned stone and dramatic windows, it's a stunning backdrop for any kind of event. Plus, surrounding the hall are acres of greenery, which give the effect of being in the heart of the countryside even though transport links to the close by city are just around the corner.
In terms of capacity, this venue is perfect for 100-person day, with the possibility to add an additional 60 for the evening shindig. As Highbury Hall is managed by Birmingham City Council you'll be working with their team to help organise the big day, and there may be certain terms and conditions such as a minimum head count to consider.
Food is all catered for in house, but it's worth noting that the team are happy to work with you on sourcing an outside caterer if you'd like your menu to reflect yours, or your partner's, culture. The sample menu offers a glimpse into what you can order for your special event, starting with canapes like caramelised barbecue pork belly and Japanese style beef rolls, before moving onto three-course dinners. Highlights here include the likes of roasted salmon fillet with celeriac emulsion and griddled cauliflower steak with spicy red lentil sauce. If you'd prefer a buffet, BBQ, afternoon tea or evening snacks, all of these too can be catered for.
