Looking for that dream, countryside wedding - the kind that looks straight out of a fairytale? Let us present Apton Hall, a Grade II Listed, rustic farmhouse in Essex. Apton Hall has been totally renovated and optimised for events, with complete focus on curating the perfect wedding day - so, you know you're in good hands. The site has multiple venues which are all yours for the day, meaning you can lead your guests from one experience to another, creating a gorgeous flow.
Start the day in the Stables and Courtyard, an authentic space with rustic beams overhead, wrought iron chandeliers and exposed brick walls. The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and offer views of the surrounding countryside, while connecting you to the outside. Just outside is the courtyard, where you're also welcome to plan an outdoor ceremony under the handcrafted Gazebo. There's a capacity of around 115 people for the ceremony, which can be upped slightly for the reception to 200.
Afterwards, guests can enjoy drinks and canapes on the grass, in the courtyard or in the Snug Bar, a characterful space with a log burner, cosy seating and plenty of atmosphere. When it's time to sit down, the New Barn is a wow-worthy spot to enjoy dinner with light, bright feel and bi-folding doors which open directly onto the courtyard. The team is happy to work with you on your dream menu and can explore other catering options, too, such as BBQs or buffets.
By the time you're ready to shake a tail feather, your guests will be led into the site's original cowshed which is now totally renovated with all the mod cons. The space is a blank canvas, so feel free to add any decorations you might like, and the team can help you organise live entertainment or a DJ, too.
