There's plenty to choose from when it comes to gastronomy at The White Horse Inn. The main menu begins with a selection of starters including salt and pepper squid with dill and garlic mayonnaise, alongside tomato, onion and basil bruschetta, as well as a house favourite of moules mariniere with rustic bread. Mains are anchored by seasonal ingredients offering the likes of wild mushroom tagliatelle with pine nuts and creamy basil sauce, alongside a lemon and thyme chicken burger with smoked streaky bacon, avocado and beef tomato served on a pretzel bun with triple cooked chips. If you love pub classics, try the ham, egg and triple cooked chips with pineapple salsa, or you can't go wrong with ale battered fish, triple cooked chips, tartare sauce, pea purée and a squeeze of lemon.
If you're in the mood for something smaller and perhaps popping in for lunch, there's also a range of warm ciabatta sandwiches and delicious, hand-stretched pizzas. We like the sound of the Old Nag, topped with goat’s cheese, caramelised red onion and peppers.
