The Restaurant Bar & Grill Liverpool is a grand, unique space that is located in Halifax House on Brunswick Street. A venue with a history, it was only right that when RBG Liverpool arrived, it would make a unique mark on the city. Bottles of wine line this iconic restaurant, with beams and warm lighting adding charm to the atmosphere. Don't forget to order some aperitifs to start, with options of a St Germain Hugo Spritz with Prosecco, St Germain elderflower liqueur, mint and lime, a Seven Hills Negroni, or fruity Victoria's Secret.
You're then straight into the food menu, with appetisers of giant gordal olives, hummus and crisp Arab bread and freshly baked sourdough with Jersey butter, and Jersey rock oysters. There's also a nikkei section on the menu, including yellowfin tuna sashimi with wasabi, pickled ginger and soy, and angus beef tataki with ginger ponzu, white radish and wasabi mayonnaise. Other starters include Wookey Hole cheddar souffle with truffle and chive cream sauce, pan seared scallops with a creamy mash, garlic and parsley butter and crispy panko, and fillet steak tartare with free range egg yolk, sourdough toast, horseradish and parsley butter. A large part of the menu focuses on British steaks, with options of rump, ribeye, côte de boeuf, sirloin, fillet and wagyu sirloin.
There are also sharing options, including an 800g côte de boeuf that has been marinated for 24 hours in black garlic and treacle, and served with wagyu bone marrow and triple cooked chips. On the side, add on truffle and parmesan fries, confit garlic spinach, buttery cauliflower cheese, maple glazed heritage carrots, or tenderstem broccoli with chilli and garlic.
