The Nevill Arms is a beautifully restored country pub and restaurant nestled in the charming village of Medbourne, Leicestershire. The menu champions field-to-fork cooking with produce from its own 160-acre farm at Great Easton.
Once a stable yard and coaching inn, this Grade II-listed building combines historic character with contemporary comfort and warmth - think oak beams, stone inglenook fireplace and honey-coloured stonework. Set alongside the tranquil Medbourne Brook, the pub has been owned by The Three Goat’s Group since 2021. The Nevill Arms underwent a stylish refurbishment led by designer Carrie Cripps and the interior now features deep blue tones, woodland-inspired wallpaper, cosy seating areas around open fires, and pops of burnt-orange accents that create a welcoming ambience in both bar and dining areas. The restaurant hosts up to 60 covers and they also have ten boutique bedrooms for overnight stays.
The venue serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a popular Monday Supper Club. A summer-only Josper Bar & Grill operates in the courtyard with charcoal-grilled dishes and cocktails, while the riverside terrace is an idyllic spot for a gin and tonic. The menu uses local suppliers such as Keythorpe Walled Gardens and Sparkenhoe cheese, and daily-landed fish. Expect hearty British-influenced dishes like Belted Galloway rib-eye, wild mushroom stroganoff, pan-seared seabass, treacle-cured venison, tandoori spiced cauliflower steak, Cornish brill, chicken Caeser salad, and wagyu burgers, alongside seasonal starters and classic desserts such as honey-vanilla parfait and sticky toffee pudding.
Complementing the food is a well-stocked bar featuring real ales from nearby Langton Brewery, craft beers, cocktails, local honey-drizzled soft-serves, and a curated wine list selected in collaboration with Berkmann Wine Cellars.
The Nevill Arms offers a welcoming hub of village life and destination dining, perfect for breakfast, relaxed lunches, hearty suppers or countryside celebrations.
