The Magic Garden is from the same genius brains as The Hockley Arts Club, Das Kino and Penny Lane Nottingham, who have transformed a Grade II listed building in the heart of Nottingham's Lace Market. This hidden oasis of tropical plants, bright colours and beautiful touches, serves up everything from quick bites to bottomless brunch, making it the perfect spot for all occasions.
First up on the menu are the famous Yorkshire wraps that The Magic Garden is known for. The beef option features roasted topside beef with honey glazed carrots and buttery kale in a giant Yorkshire pudding, served with roast potatoes and a rich red wine gravy. There's also a chicken and vegetarian option. Flatbreads are another popular choice, great for tearing and sharing with your friends. We'd go for the prosciutto and wild mushroom, or vegan pulled duck with hoisin sauce, cheese, spring onion and cucumber.
There are three burgers to choose from, including a classic double beef patty, and a homemade breaded turkey burger with a rich gravy mayo, giant pig in blanket and sage and onion dusted fries. The beef and peppercorn sandwich is filled to the brim with slow cooked pulled beef with buttery kale, peppercorn sauce and fries, for a super tasty treat. A totally delish cocktail that would wash it all down well has to be the Absolutely Fabulous, made with vodka, strawberry, pomegranate, citrus, cranberry and a Fab ice lolly on the top.
If sharing amongst the table is more your thing, choose a few options from the tapas selection. There's a panko crumbed brie with cranberry sauce and crispy bacon, vegan meatballs with a rich tomato and basil sauce, and pigs in blankets that are maple glazed. For pudding, try the Baileys and coffee Eton mess with double whipped cream and meringue.
