Whether you're stopping by The Ivy for the first time or are a frequent visitor, you're set to have a wonderful time. The Ivy Bournemouth brasserie is one of the newest to open, in an exciting new chapter for the brand. Nestled on the coast, this opulent restaurant offers a touch of luxury at an affordable price point, with a wide range of meat, vegetarian, seafood and vegan dishes for all to enjoy.
The Ivy's 1917 classic set menu (paying homage to the year that the first restaurant opened on West Street in London) It's a two course dinner, with your choice of starter or dessert. The starters include an Asian crab salad with chopped pak choi and kohlrabi, with watermelon, sesame and a soy dressing, a creamy buffalo mozzarella dish with lovage pesto, and confit rabbit croquettes with a mustard and tarragon sauce. There are only four mains, which include a rendang plant based curry, roast chicken supreme, minute steak and cod goujons. Sides are added on as extras, so you've got a choice of asparagus spears, jasmine rice, mashed potato and creamed spinach with pangrattato, toasted pine nuts and grated parmesan.
Dessert is as much of a simple choice as the rest of the menu, with options of classic frozen berries, a French blue cheese with rye crackers, apple and chutney, and profiteroles with a warm chocolate sauce. If you've got kids in tow, it's worth knowing that they will be well catered for, with their very own menu. They can enjoy a delicious rhubarb and strawberry cooler, before a main of Cumberland sausages with creamed mashed potatoes and gravy, linguine pasta with a tomato sauce, or classic battered fish and chips with mushy peas.
