Housed at The Rubens at The Palace in Belgravia, The Curry Room transports its guests to India via Rajasthani hand embroidery and a rich red colour scheme. Unsurprisingly, the menu here majors in a selection of curries which are part of a three-course menu, available for £75 per person. Your meal will begin with dishes for the table, such as keema samosas and poppadum’s with mango chutney and mint raita dips. For the main event, guests choose from a selection of traditional Indian curries, including a Bengal fish option with fried aubergine, and a slow-cooked spicy beef vindaloo, pepped up with a combination of Goan spices. For dessert, there’s ice cream, alongside the likes of steamed date and banana pudding, or a baked vanilla cheesecake. There’s plenty to drink too, thanks to a wide selection of old and new world wines, and Indian beers including Kingfisher and Cobra.
A meticulously curated collection of both old and new world wines enhances the dining experience, with a focus on selections from Bouchard Finlayson, our sister vineyard in South Africa, and popular Indian beers, including Kingfisher and Cobra. 2 courses £45 / 3 courses £55 Signature Mains: SIGNATURE MAINS(All curries are served with Basmati rice)LAMB PUNJABI CURRYTraditional style of Indian lamb curry(Your choice of medium or hot)BUTTER CHICKENNorth Indian style, simmered in butter, chilli and coriander creamBENGAL FISH CURRYA favourite Bengal delicacy cooked with aubergineVEGETABLE KORMA (V)Fried paneer, onion, peas and mushrooms in a creamy curry sauceTOFU AND SEASONAL VEGETABLE CURRY (VG)Cooked in a Delhi style vegan curry sauceSPICY BEEF VINDALOOSlow cooked beef, white wine vinegar, onions, tomato and a combination of Goan spicesCHEF KUMAR’S THALIThree curries of your choice from aboveFor an exceptional experience, add Chef Kumar’s thali for a £10 supplement
