Housed at The Rubens at The Palace in Belgravia, The Curry Room transports its guests to India via Rajasthani hand embroidery and a rich red colour scheme. Unsurprisingly, the menu here majors in a selection of curries which are part of a three-course menu, available for £35 per person. Your meal will begin with dishes for the table, such as keema samosas and poppadum’s with mango chutney and mint raita dips. For the main event, guests choose from a selection of traditional Indian curries, including a Bengal fish option with fried aubergine and spring onions, and a slow-cooked spicy beef vindaloo, pepped up with a combination of Goan spices. For dessert, there’s kulfi ice cream, alongside the likes of fresh papaya and sorbet, or a baked vanilla cheesecake. There’s plenty to drink too, thanks to a wide selection of old and new world wines, and Indian beers including Kingfisher and Cobra.
