About The Botanist - Bristol
Glamorous and relaxed, The Botanist is located on Bristol’s Berkeley Square, close to the Brandon Hill Nature Park and Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. This location, with its easy access to Clifton and to the University, gives it an eclectic clientele and vibrant atmosphere. Absolutely alive with light, The Botanist is decorated in dove grays, bringing the historic features of the building to life, contrasting beautifully with the shiny parquet flooring and making those cosy nooks even more tempting when you’re seeking a slice of intimacy.
Both formal and informal spaces are available for dining and the menu matches, offering a choice of eating styles with Mediterranean flavours liberally woven throughout. There’s a huge amount of choice on the all-day menu, with the likes of king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, and maple pork belly with pig cheek and scallops just a couple of options. You’ll also find snacks, sharers, burgers, pizza, steaks and salads here.
If you’re after a lighter bite such as a sandwich, you’ll find these on the lunch menu, with more indulgent options on the weekday treat menu. There’s a separate vegan menu with a range of options, plus a dedicated children’s menu for the little ones. Desserts are plentiful and include favourites such as sticky toffee pudding and apple, plum and damson crumble, along with showier offerings such as a melting chocolate bomb and a white chocolate cheesecake tower.
As this is a pub, and going off the sizeable food menu, diners will be glad to know that an extensive drinks list is in place. Whether you’re in the mood for cocktails, a g&t, wine, bubbly, beer, or a ‘saintly sip’, The Botanist has you covered.
In addition to the charming interiors, The Botanist also boasts an outdoor dining space that’s perfect for al fresco dining.
