SquareMeal Review of Tellers Brasserie at The Corinthian Club

The Corinthian Club sums up Glasgow’s cast-iron belief that ‘more is more’. Occupying what was a Victorian-era bank, the premises were transformed into a bazaar of food, drink and fun back in 1999, and are now home to several bars, a casino, dining areas, a nightclub and more – all spread over five floors. Located in the old ground-floor banking hall, Tellers Brasserie is a mightily impressive space – just look at the glass dome, classic 19th-century decorative fabrics, chandeliers and black-clothed tables. Expect an international spread running from eggs Benedict, French onion soup and charcuterie to beer-battered haddock, coq au vin, macaroni cheese and crispy duck salad – with back-up from grills and sandwiches. Two adjoining bars serve anything from pints of Guinness and cocktails to bottles of Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé at £650.
