Shanghai Me brings refined, high-energy Pan-Asian dining to the rooftop of the London Hilton on Park Lane, marking a bold new chapter for Fundamental Hospitality’s Made in Dubai concept. With sweeping views across Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and the Thames, Shanghai Me is now the highest restaurant in Mayfair, pairing culinary drama with unmatched skyline views.
The interiors are a tribute to 1930s Shanghai, combining Art Deco glamour with contemporary polish. Glossy wood, mirrored accents and soft lighting create a luxurious dining room that feels both intimate and theatrical. The space is designed to celebrate the golden era of Chinese sophistication while reflecting a broader Pan-Asian perspective, drawing on the culinary traditions of China, Japan and Vietnam.
The kitchen is led by chef Izu Ani, known for shaping the dining landscape in the Middle East with concepts like GAIA and La Maison Ani. He is joined by chef Yukitaka Kitade, Shanghai Me’s global culinary ambassador, whose experience across Asia brings precision and depth to the menu. Together, they create a vibrant interpretation of Pan-Asian dining where storytelling, tradition and technique come together.
The Shanghai Me menu is rooted in classic flavours but elevated through meticulous sourcing and presentation. Yellowtail carpaccio is finished with black truffle, while roast duck arrives with foie gras and caviar in a luxe Cantonese style. Spicy bluefin tuna oshizushi offers bold colour and clean heat, whereas braised beef short rib is served Shanghai-style for a richer, more comforting option. Everything is designed to be shared, making the meal feel immersive and celebratory from start to finish.
The drinks programme is equally ambitious. Bund, Shanghai Me’s adjoining bar, serves signature cocktails in a dramatic setting where DJs play into the early hours. Guests can reserve tables here to enjoy light bites and drinks late into the evening, with views stretching across central London.
