Rickmansworth is a beautiful town in the south-west of Hertfordshire. Whilst it is a small town it has its own tube station, and so offers residents and visitors the best of both worlds who are wanting to travel into the city. Rickmansworth lies about 5 miles west of Watford and so, whilst it has plenty of its own attractions, you can always make use of those in Watford, such as a visit to the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio. The Grand Union Canal runs through the town of Rickmansworth, and although the town isn't too large in size it is home to many high street names, along with several independent shops and cafes. The town has a rich history, with the Manor of the Moor, a palace that stood on the grounds of what is now known as Moor Park, being held by King Henry VIII's notorious Lord Chancellor, Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Henry VIII himself was a regular visitor to Rickmansworth.
